SEPANG Oct 4, 2026 — Formula 1 has put the spotlight on Max Verstappen as the pole-sitter arrives on race day at Sepang International Circuit for the Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia.
In a post on its official X account, Formula 1 declared that the pole-sitter was here, sharing video ahead of lights out at the Malaysian circuit.
“The pole-sitter is here!” the account said.
Verstappen secured pole position in Saturday qualifying with a lap of 1:35.130, ahead of Ferrari’s Lewis Hamilton, and starts Sunday’s race from the front of the grid.
The championship’s race-day posts from Sepang have framed the build-up around the Dutch driver’s return to P1 after taking his first pole of the 2026 season.
