Kuala Lumpur, 17 April- Pepper Labs has announced the nationwide expansion of its Artificial Intelligence (AI) community skilling initiative in collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS), with support from the Ministry of Communications. The programme will be implemented across 167 NADI Centres nationwide under the initiative titled “AI For All: Inclusive Artificial Intelligence Literacy for Communities.”
The initiative aims to strengthen public understanding of artificial intelligence while equipping Malaysians with future-ready digital competencies. Through the programme, NADI Centres will serve as accessible hubs for structured AI learning, bringing technology education closer to communities at the grassroots level.
Thanaselan Rajendran, Managing Director of Pepper Labs, said the initiative reflects the organisation’s continued commitment to expanding access to emerging technologies and ensuring communities are equipped to participate in Malaysia’s digital future.
“Artificial intelligence should be accessible to everyone, not just technology specialists. Through the ‘AI For All’ initiative, we aim to empower communities with practical knowledge and skills to participate confidently in the digital economy,” he said.

He added that the initiative supports broader national efforts to strengthen digital literacy and prepare Malaysians for a technology-driven workforce.
Powered by AWS, participants will be introduced to foundational AI concepts, practical applications and pathways for further digital upskilling through structured programmes and hands-on engagements. The initiative is designed to close AI access and capability gaps, particularly among underserved communities.
The programme combines AWS’s global expertise in artificial intelligence and cloud technology with Pepper Labs’ strong community networks to expand AI learning opportunities for youth, students, women and rural communities across Malaysia.
Support from the Ministry of Communications will play an important role in enabling the nationwide rollout of the initiative, strengthening efforts to make AI education more inclusive and accessible while preparing communities for the evolving digital economy and future job landscape.
Participants will gain exposure to practical AI tools, ethical AI principles and real-world applications that support both personal development and potential income-generating opportunities.
The initiative builds on Pepper Labs’ ongoing collaborations with public and private sector partners to advance Malaysia’s digital readiness. Recent partnerships, including collaborations with PERKESO to upskill unemployed graduates through digital learning programmes, reflect the organisation’s continued commitment to strengthening digital inclusion and supporting Malaysia’s broader socioeconomic development.
