MALAYSIA, PUTRAJAYA, June 18, 2025 – The Ministry of Finance has announced a 7 sen per litre increase in the retail prices of RON97 petrol and diesel in Peninsular Malaysia, effective from today, June 19 to 25, 2025, driven by rising global oil prices.

The retail price of RON97 petrol will rise from RM3.07 to RM3.14 per litre, while diesel in Peninsular Malaysia will increase from RM2.74 to RM2.81 per litre. Despite the hike, diesel prices remain lower than the floated price of RM3.35 per litre set on June 10, 2024. RON95 petrol will stay unchanged at RM2.05 per litre, and diesel in Sabah, Sarawak, and Labuan will remain at RM2.15 per litre.
The price adjustments, determined weekly using the Automatic Pricing Mechanism, reflect global crude oil market trends. The government stated it will continue to monitor these trends and take appropriate measures to balance market stability with public welfare.
