HULU LANGAT, SELANGOR, MALAYSIA January 10, 2026 – Hulu Langat Member of Parliament Mohd Sany Hamzan today issued an official statement strongly condemning any organisation or promotion of LGBT-related activities in his constituency following allegations of a deviant programme allegedly planned at a chalet in the area.
In the written statement, Mohd Sany emphasised that he has taken immediate action by lodging a police report and submitting formal complaints to the Kajang Municipal Council (MPKJ) and the Selangor Islamic Religious Council (MAIS) for further action within their respective jurisdictions.
“I wish to stress that we strongly condemn in the strongest terms any form of organisation, promotion or normalisation of LGBT practices, as they contradict Islamic teachings, societal norms, local culture, and existing laws in this country,” he stated firmly.
He also cited Allah SWT’s words in Surah Al-A‘raf verses 80–81, which condemn the actions of the people of Prophet Lut, as a reminder that Islam clearly rejects deviant practices.
As an elected representative, Mohd Sany stressed his responsibility to defend faith, morality, and social harmony, while ensuring Hulu Langat remains firmly rooted in religious values and Eastern decorum.
His team will also hold a meeting with the owner of the chalet involved, in the presence of the authorities, to obtain explanations and conduct a thorough and transparent investigation into the matter.
“I wish to assure that no compromise will be given to any party attempting to introduce or promote agendas that corrupt morals, challenge the sensitivities of Muslims, and threaten social harmony,” he added.
He called on the public to remain calm, avoid wild speculation, and continue channelling any information to the relevant authorities while collectively upholding religious values, the rule of law, and the well-being of the Hulu Langat community.
Mohd Sany Hamzan’s full statement has drawn widespread attention among local residents concerned about moral and religious issues.
