FLORIDA December 24, 2025 – President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump brought holiday cheer to children across America on Christmas Eve by participating in the longstanding NORAD Santa Tracker hotline calls from their Mar-a-Lago residence.
The couple fielded phone calls from excited youngsters eager to learn about Santa Claus’s whereabouts as he delivered gifts around the world. The event, part of the North American Aerospace Defense Command’s (NORAD) 70-year tradition of tracking Santa’s journey, allowed the Trumps to speak directly with families while NORAD volunteers handled thousands of inquiries.
In one call with children from Oklahoma, President Trump reassured them that Santa was on his way and noted, “Santa loves Oklahoma like I do. You know, Oklahoma was very good to me in the election.” He encouraged the kids to stay in their state, adding a lighthearted political touch to the festive conversation.
Speaking to a child from Pennsylvania, the President remarked on the state’s support during elections, saying, “Pennsylvania is great, we won Pennsylvania, actually, three times. We won it a landslide.”
In another exchange, when a child asked if Santa would be upset without cookies left out, Trump responded playfully, suggesting Santa might prefer them but wouldn’t be too disappointed.
The First Lady also engaged warmly with callers, inquiring about their Christmas wishes and siblings.
The White House shared a video of the event on X, captioned: “President Trump & First Lady Melania Trump speak to American children on Christmas Eve through @NoradSanta Calls 🎅❤️” alongside a link to NORAD’s live Santa tracker at noradsanta.org.
NORAD’s Santa tracking program, which began in 1955, uses radar, satellites, and even fighter jets to “monitor” Santa’s progress, delighting millions worldwide. This year, the hotline received hundreds of thousands of calls, with volunteers providing real-time updates on Santa’s global route.
The Trumps’ participation continues a presidential holiday tradition, spreading joy on Christmas Eve as families awaited Santa’s arrival. Merry Christmas from the White House!
