PM Anwar Announces RM4 Million Allocation to Empower Malaysian Youth

MALAYSIA, KUALA LUMPUR, June 15, 2025 — Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim has unveiled a RM4 million allocation for the Malaysian Youth Council (MBM) to bolster the nation’s youth, emphasizing their critical role in shaping Malaysia’s future.

Speaking at the National Youth Day 2025 celebration last night, Anwar stressed that the voices of young Malaysians must be heard, respected, and elevated as a vital force in steering the country’s direction.

“The energy, spirit, and dynamism of our youth are pivotal in driving transformative change toward a brighter, more competitive Malaysia on both regional and global stages,” he said.

The Prime Minister underscored that a nation’s strength lies in the potential, idealism, and resilience of its youth. He called for greater opportunities for young people to express their views, have their aspirations valued, and actively participate in policy-making and national development.

Anwar urged all stakeholders to champion the cause of youth empowerment, fostering an environment where young Malaysians can contribute meaningfully to the nation’s progress.

“Let us ignite the spirit of embracing youth voices and pave the way for their continued contributions to our beloved homeland,” he concluded.
