  • 72 vendors showcased the region’s best journalling & stationery creators, Malaysian children’s authors & local SMEs

Kuala Lumpur, 24th June 2025 – In today’s digital era, genuine community spaces that foster connection and creativity are becoming increasingly rare. It was precisely this need that inspired the birth of CzipVillage 2025, a place that celebrated ideas and connection across all ages.

CzipVillage 2025, the first creative market in Malaysia that unites families and journalling communities, successfully welcomed over 5,000 visitors during its two-day event on 21 and 22 June 2025. Held at The Venue @ ONE Bangsar, CzipVillage 2025 featured 72 carefully curated vendors spanning journalling, stationery, children’s activities, food and play.

Spearheaded by homegrown stationery shop CzipLee (集利), in collaboration with Sumthings of Mine, the visionary behind SOMe Market, this two-day creative market blossomed into a village of inspiration and warmth.

The vision was brought to life through the support of venue partner Bangsar Village, community partner OCBC bank and main sponsor Oatbedient, a premium oatmilk brand.

The event’s immersive atmosphere was further enhanced by the expert touch of MINT Events, a creative agency specialising in experiential design.

Alvin Chen, the Executive Director of CzipLee Group of Companies, said, “For the first time in Malaysia, we have brought together Southeast Asia’s best journalling communities alongside a vibrant children’s market. Thus, creating a space that welcomes every member of the family.

He added, “CzipVillage embodies the belief that when people come together with a shared purpose, the whole becomes greater than the sum of its parts. So if Mint Events is the engine, and SOMe is the heart, then CzipLee must be the soul that brings this market to life.”

SOMe Market 4.0

Excited patrons lined up to visit one of the many stamping zones at CzipVillage’s SOMe Market.

At the heart of CzipVillage 2025 is SOMe Market, the region’s largest journalling market, currently in its fourth installment. Lovingly curated in collaboration with Sumthings of Mine, it showcased over 60 handpicked local favourites from Malaysia, such as Loka Made and Cardboard Country. Alongside local vendors, international creators from China, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam also participated in the market.

Adding to the allure, international brands such as Campus by KokuyoPilot PenShachihata JapanRJ Paper and Brother Japan also showcased their offerings, which further boosted the market’s appeal for stationery enthusiasts.

CzipKid & Friends

CzipKid & Friends returned this year at CzipVillage 2025 with expanded collaborations featuring children’s book authors and a thoughtfully curated selection of books, toys, and hands-on workshops. Children were able to learn and explore through interactive displays by Mad About Education (MAE), Wizard WithinPureDaysAtom and the DotPagoda Kingdom, and Pinwheel Malaysia

Malaysian author and storyteller, Beatrice Oh,

Malaysian children’s book authors and illustrators Beatrice Oh, Kimberley Boudville, and Ke Ai De Ke also made an appearance throughout the weekend for engaging storytelling sessions. This event provided a supervised and supportive environment where families could connect and learn together beyond the traditional classroom setting.

A particularly heartwarming feature of this year’s CzipKid & Friends was the kids-only mini vendor booths, which gave young entrepreneurs the chance to showcase their creativity and develop their early financial skills.

Miffy’s 70th Anniversary Celebration

A highlight of CzipVillage 2025 was Miffy’s 70th Anniversary Celebration, which attracted fans of the beloved character to the event. Miffy adorers experienced a special tea-party, special appearances, photo opportunities, and indulged in Miffy-themed goodies all through the weekend.

The celebration was made sweeter with cookie and cupcake decorating workshops hosted by EM’S Soft Chunky Cookies and Bisou Bake Shop. This was accompanied with Oatbedient’s ready to go favourites and a scoop station for kids by Waka Waka Gelato.

Fans of all ages got the chance to personally meet and snap photos with
Miffy in line with its 70th Anniversary.

An Inspired by Miffy Art Exhibition by Art Plus Contemporary showcased 24 beautiful artworks from local talents, celebrating Miffy’s timeless charm. Many of these pieces were available for sale, allowing visitors to take home a unique keepsake from the festival.

Delicious Bites for All Ages

Lead partner, Oatbedient, best known for its clean-label plant-based oat milk beverages, held an overnight oats workshop.

The festival’s vibrant energy was also matched by the delicious spread of food that CzipVillage 2025 had to offer. Thoughtfully curated by the organisers, attendees were able to enjoy local delights that kept them fuelled throughout the day.

Visitors savoured sweet treats and fresh flavours from Malaysia’s very own, Cocoraw Chocolates, White Land, EM’S Soft Chunky Cookies, Bisou Bake Shop, Universal Bakehouse, Waka-Waka Gelato, Summation Cafe, and Manis by Wildflour, which added a delicious warmth and indulgence to their CzipVillage experience.

Additional highlights included Oatbedient’s soothing overnight oats demonstration and a sustainable postcard workshop curated by CzipLee, whereby both activities encouraged creativity and relaxation in a welcoming environment.

Looking to the Future

CzipVillage 2025 was more than just a festival. It was a heartfelt, one-of-a-kind gathering that celebrated creativity and play for families and journaling enthusiasts.

“Our commitment runs beyond achieving self-sustained success. We believe in the strength of collaboration between SMEs, and with over 72 SME participants, this first gathering is just the beginning of a thriving community,” said Jason Chen, Executive Director at CzipLee Group of Companies.
