KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia, July 4, 2025 – The MADANI government has achieved significant milestones in its holistic approach to tackling drug addiction, focusing not only on treatment and rehabilitation but also on empowering individuals to reintegrate into society, the Home Ministry announced today.

Through the National Anti-Drug Agency (AADK), the government’s Treatment and Rehabilitation Programs have delivered impressive outcomes:
– 98% of clients in Institutional Treatment and Rehabilitation secured employment upon program completion.
– 98% of clients at PUSPEN rehabilitation centers participated in at least one skill or vocational training session during their recovery.
– 90% of clients in Community-Based Treatment and Rehabilitation obtained stable employment.
These results underscore the effectiveness of job-centric rehabilitation in supporting client recovery, aligning with the MADANI Reform agenda’s core principles of compassion, well-being, and innovation. The approach prioritizes second chances and skill empowerment to ensure the well-being of Malaysians.
The Home Ministry, through AADK, pledged to further strengthen such initiatives to foster a healthier, drug-free society capable of contributing to national development.
