PUTRAJAYA, MALAYSIA December 31, 2025 – The Ministry of Home Affairs (KDN) today announced the record of pedestrian movements in and out at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA and KLIA2) for the period from 23 October to 28 December 2025, with a total of **579,824 movements**.
According to the released data, the breakdown of movements is as follows:
KLIA :
– Outbound: 247,859
– Inbound: 331,965
KLIA2 :
– Outbound: 167,812
– Inbound: 0
These figures demonstrate the high efficiency of the immigration control system, supported by the readiness of front-line officers as well as the ongoing commitment of the MADANI Government through KDN to maintain security, smoothness, and integrity at the nation’s borders.
The Minister of Home Affairs, Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail, emphasised that “National border security is the top priority of the Ministry of Home Affairs. Every movement in and out of the country is monitored meticulously through an integrated system, supported by technology and the professionalism of personnel to protect the sovereignty and safety of the people.”
He further stated that KDN will continue to strengthen the modernisation of the immigration system and enhance operational efficiency to ensure that all international travel matters proceed safely, orderly, and with public confidence.
This announcement highlights the government’s continuous efforts in managing passenger traffic at the country’s main entry points, even during a period that includes festive seasons and year-end holidays.
