Star-studded collaboration featuring Andrea Bocelli, David Guetta, EJAE, and Megan Thee Stallion drops ahead of North American tournament
MEXICO June 10, 2026 – FIFA officially released DNA, the Official FIFA World Cup 2026™ Anthem, on Wednesday, blending opera, electronic dance music, pop, and rap in a genre-crossing track designed to capture the universal passion for football.
The anthem brings together an eclectic lineup of global superstars: legendary Italian tenor Maestro Andrea Bocelli, French DJ and producer David Guetta, three-time Grammy-winning rapper Megan Thee Stallion, and Academy Award-, Grammy-, and Golden Globe-winning singer-songwriter EJAE.
FIFA described the release as a “defining musical moment” for the tournament, which will be co-hosted by Canada, Mexico, and the United States and feature an expanded 48-team format. The track is now available on all major streaming platforms.
The song emphasizes themes of unity, heritage, and the innate human connection to the sport. Bocelli, a longtime football enthusiast, called the project a lifelong dream. EJAE, who contributed emotional vocals and even penned lyrics in Korean, drew inspiration from watching the 2002 World Cup in Seoul as a child.
David Guetta’s signature EDM production provides the energetic backbone, while Megan Thee Stallion delivers a powerful rap verse that fans have already praised as a standout.
Andrea Bocelli and EJAE are scheduled to perform DNA live for the first time at the opening ceremony in Mexico City on Thursday, June 11.
Early reactions on social media have been mixed but passionate. Many praised the high-production values and the unexpected chemistry of the collaborators, with particular shoutouts to Megan’s gritty delivery and EJAE’s soaring vocals. Others expressed nostalgia for past anthems like Shakira’s hits or questioned the genre blend.
Note: This anthem is distinct from the separate official song Dai Dai by Shakira and Burna Boy, also released for the 2026 tournament.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup kicks off this week with the opening matches in Mexico, promising a summer of football across three countries. DNA is positioned as the emotional and ceremonial soundtrack for the event.
