Fadillah attends Finale of 1,885km Borneo Healthy Unity Ride

KUCHING, Malaysia, August 17, 2025 – The closing ceremony of the Borneo Healthy Unity Cycling Tour was held tonight, marking the end of a program that began on 4 August and will conclude tomorrow.

Organized by the Nadi Sihat NGO under the Ministry of Unity in collaboration with the Malaysian Information Department, the program covered a total journey of 1,885 km across two phases. The first phase saw 23 participants from local communities and Peninsular Malaysia cycling from Kudat, Sabah, to Batu Niah, Miri, Sarawak.

The second phase involved 25 participants cycling from Batu Niah to Kuching, with the group set to continue their ride tomorrow from Hotel Penview to Telok Melano.

Deputy Prime Minister Dato’ Sri Fadillah Yusof, who attended the closing ceremony, noted that this program follows a similar initiative held last year, which saw cyclists journey from Tanjung Piai, Johor, to Kangar, Perlis.

The event aims to foster unity and promote a healthy lifestyle among Malaysians.
