IPOH, PERAK. MALAYSIA, October 13, 2025 – Deputy Inspector-General of Police (Deputy IGP), Tan Sri Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay called on leaders and public servants to embrace the qualities of siddiq and amanah—as exemplified by Prophet Muhammad SAW—as the core guiding principles to safeguard the nation’s welfare and unity.
He delivered this message while serving as the main panelist at the Perdana Forum titled “Emulating the Leadership of Prophet Muhammad SAW in Building National Unity and Welfare,” held alongside the Mosque Open Day and Maulidur Rasul celebrations at Dataran Ilmu, Sultan Idris Shah II Mosque (Perak State Mosque) last night.
Joining him as a panelist was the Director of the Perak Islamic Religious Department, Dato’ Hj. Harith Fadzilah Hj. Abd Halim, while the forum—organized by the state mosque—was moderated by the Head of the Istinbat and Information Unit, Fatwa Division, Perak State Mufti Department, Ustaz Muhammad Izzat Shafiq Mohammed Tarmizi.
During the nearly two-hour session, Ayob Khan underscored key challenges like corruption and abuse of power that undermine leadership integrity across various agencies. “The trait of amanah serves as the strongest bulwark against descending into immoral conduct,” he stated, adding that the Prophet Muhammad SAW’s example must serve as a daily compass for every public official.
The event drew enthusiastic attendance from prominent figures, including the Orang Besar of Kinta District, Orang Kaya Kaya Panglima Kinta Seri Amar Bangsa DiRaja, Dato’ Ab Wahab Dato’ Seri Azizul Hassan; the Grand Imam of Sultan Idris Shah II Mosque, SF.
