SELAYANG, May 10, 2026 — The Democratic Action Party (DAP) hosted a fundraising dinner at the iDEAL Convention Centre here last night to mark its 60th anniversary, bringing together party leaders, members and supporters for an evening of reflection and renewed commitment.
DAP National Chairman and Minister of Digital Gobind Singh Deo, who is also the Member of Parliament for Damansara (P106), led the celebration and later shared highlights on social media.
“For six decades, DAP has stood firm in the fight for justice, accountability, equality, and meaningful reforms for all Malaysians,” Gobind said in a bilingual statement posted on X.
He described the dinner as more than a celebration, calling it a reminder that unity remains essential in strengthening efforts to build a better Malaysia.
“As we mark this milestone, let us continue moving forward together with courage, principle, and hope,” he added.
DAP was registered in March 1966 and has organised various 60th anniversary programmes throughout 2026, including an official launch earlier in the year. The party continues to position itself as a champion of multiracialism, good governance and inclusive reforms within the Pakatan Harapan coalition.
The fundraising dinner is expected to support the party’s ongoing activities and future political initiatives.
