KOTA KINABALU, SABAH. MALAYSIA December 15. 2025 – Cement Industries (Sabah) Sdn. Bhd. (CIS) has donated RM1 million to the Sabah State Education Fund (TPNS) as a meaningful commitment to supporting the state’s education agenda and human capital development.
The presentation of the mock cheque was handed over by YBhg. Datuk Japlin Haji Akim, Chairman of CIS, to YB Dato’ Sri Haji Ghulam Haider Khan Bahadar, Co-Chairman of TPNS, at the Sabah State Legislative Assembly Building.
Also present at the event were YB Datuk Seri Panglima Masidi Manjun, Deputy Chief Minister II cum State Finance Minister; YB Datuk Dr. Haji Mohd Arifin Datuk Haji Mohd Arif, Minister of Local Government and Housing cum Chairman of TPNS; and CIS General Manager, Tuan Haji Sumardi Mohd Yusof.
The State Government greatly appreciates the role of CIS as a government-linked company (GLC) that consistently supports efforts to empower education for Sabah’s children. Through such collaborations, Sabah continues to invest in a future that is more knowledgeable, competitive, and prosperous.
This message of appreciation was conveyed by Datuk Seri Panglima Hajiji Noor, Chief Minister of Sabah, who emphasised the importance of corporate contributions in advancing the state’s education.
