Tickets are now on sale for special theatrical screenings of Daniel Craig’s first James Bond film, Casino Royale, as it marks two decades since its 2006 release.
The official James Bond account announced Friday that screenings begin October 2, 2026, with additional showings on Global James Bond Day, October 5. The film will play in a new 4K restoration.
The promotional video accompanying the announcement features a montage of standout sequences: Craig’s Bond arriving in a light suit, the brutal bathroom fight, the high-stakes poker game against Le Chiffre, an underwater scene, and large-scale explosions, closing with the line “Back on the Big Screen.”
Directed by Martin Campbell, Casino Royale rebooted the franchise after the Pierce Brosnan era. It follows a newly licensed 007 as he pursues terrorist financier Le Chiffre (Mads Mikkelsen) to a poker tournament in Montenegro, with Eva Green as Vesper Lynd and Judi Dench as M. The film earned strong reviews for its grounded tone and action and grossed more than $606 million worldwide.
Park Circus is handling the UK theatrical run, with Amazon MGM Studios involved in the worldwide rollout. Dates and formats vary by territory; some chains, including Vue and Regal, have already listed showtimes. Fans should check local cinema websites or the official 007 channels for tickets.
The anniversary screenings arrive as Amazon MGM develops the next Bond film, with Denis Villeneuve attached to direct. Revisiting Craig’s debut on the big screen offers audiences a chance to see the film that reset the series before the next chapter begins.
