PUTRAJAYA, Malaysia, August 6 2025 – The Attorney General’s Chambers (AGC) has issued a stern warning to the public against the irresponsible dissemination of unverified information and images related to the case involving child Zara Qairina on social media platforms.

In a statement released today, the AGC expressed serious concern over actions by certain parties who have uploaded and shared unsubstantiated details, including pictures of the child linked to the case, across various online channels.
“The department views seriously the actions of a handful of parties who irresponsibly upload and spread information whose authenticity has not been determined, including images of the child associated with the Zara Qairina case through various social media platforms,” the statement read.
The AGC urged the public to immediately cease such activities, highlighting that the spread of unverified content could sow confusion among the community and potentially hinder the ongoing investigation by relevant authorities.
It added: “The dissemination of such content has the potential to affect the smoothness and effectiveness of the investigation process by the related authorities.”
The statement, dated August 6, 2025, comes amid heightened public interest in the case, though details remain limited as investigations continue.
Authorities have not provided further comments on the specifics of the Zara Qairina incident, but the AGC’s call underscores the need for responsible online behavior to avoid interfering with legal processes.
