He personally witnessed the situation during a visit yesterday, following several prior complaints.According to Saifuddin, many facilities at PULAPOL are no longer suitable for use, with some floors closed due to flood risks, dilapidated toilets, and leaking walls.

“This is the reality faced by trainees every day. Rigorous training is expected, but it must be supported by safe and well-maintained facilities,” he said.Taking the issue seriously, he has directed the Secretary-General of the Home Ministry to urgently review the matter.

Saifuddin also pledged to write to the Prime Minister to ensure that efforts to upgrade PULAPOL receive due attention.During a meeting with Trainee Inspectors Batch 13 Series 1/2025, Saifuddin emphasized that being a police officer is not merely about rank or position but about upholding a great responsibility to ensure national security, defend the rule of law, and serve the people. He stressed the importance of robust training and well-maintained facilities to produce high-quality police officers.

“We want to produce officers capable of shouldering significant responsibilities. For that, conducive facilities are a critical foundation,” he added.

The Home Ministry is committed to addressing this issue promptly to ensure smooth training and the well-being of trainees at PULAPOL.
