Aug 17 2025 – The Attorney General’s Chambers (AGC) has announced that an inquest will be conducted to determine the cause of death of Zara Qairina, following a request made on August 13, 2025. The move came after the Sabah State Legal Advisor’s Office petitioned the Kota Kinabalu Coroner’s Court to hold the inquest, supported by an application under Section 339(1) of the Criminal Procedure Code (Act 593). The court has scheduled the inquest to begin tomorrow, August 18, 2025.
