KUALA LUMPUR, 15 Oct-Simpunk has made its debut with “Terbang”, a pop-rock single that explores dreams, freedom and the courage to move forward.
Composed by Myra Bruno, the song is copyrighted under Luncai Emas and digitally distributed by Luncai Emas Sdn Bhd.
Vocalist Afiq Bruno said the band hoped the song would inspire listeners and accompany them through their personal journeys.
“Everyone has their own story and journey. If ‘Terbang’ can give someone a little encouragement or accompany them along the way, that alone would be meaningful to us,” he said.
Formed in 2025, Simpunk comprises Afiq Bruno on vocals, Aniq and Noh Slash on guitars, Wan Gegau on bass, and Nabil on drums. All five members are from Melaka.
Wan Gegau is also known for his work as a comedian and actor, particularly through his catchphrase, “Nampaktakk”.
The band has been actively performing at live shows in Melaka and other parts of Malaysia, building its presence among local music audiences.
“Terbang” centres on hope, emotional growth and the importance of letting go in order to move forward, reflecting the experiences and aspirations of a new generation.
The single is available on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music and KKBOX. Its official music video is available on the Luncai Emas YouTube channel.
