KUALA LUMPUR October 3, 2026 — Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil said SARA credits are now available, allowing recipients of the Sumbangan Tunai Rahmah (STR) cash aid to receive up to RM200 a month through the scheme, depending on their category and eKasih status.
In a post on X, Fahmi said beneficiaries do not need to withdraw cash. They can use their MyKad directly to buy approved essential goods under the programme.
“SARA DAH MASUK!” he wrote, urging eligible recipients to check their eligibility and balance so the benefit is not left unused.
SARA is part of the MADANI Government’s cost-of-living support for low-income households already on the STR list. The monthly amount varies by category and eKasih registration status, with a ceiling of RM200.
Fahmi encouraged the public to verify what they qualify for and to use the credits for approved necessities rather than leaving the entitlement idle.
