KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia, July 12, 2025 – The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) has confirmed receiving reports regarding a fake TikTok account, @SaifuddinNasution1, which allegedly uses artificial intelligence (AI) technology to impersonate Home Minister YB Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Bin Ismail. The account is suspected of offering fraudulent financial assistance to the public.
The investigation is being conducted under Section 504 of the Penal Code and Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act. PDRM has urged the public to remain vigilant and avoid falling for financial aid offers on social media, advising individuals to verify the authenticity of any information before taking action.
In a stern warning, PDRM emphasized that strict legal action will be taken against anyone found violating these laws.
