Kuala Lumpur, 6 August 2026 – Sun PhuQuoc Airways has announced the launch of a new daily direct service between Kuala Lumpur and Phu Quoc, further expanding its Southeast Asian network and strengthening tourism and travel connectivity between Malaysia and Vietnam.
Scheduled to commence on 1 September 2026, the inaugural service will operate as one daily return flight, making Malaysia the seventh international market served directly by Sun PhuQuoc Airways. The service provides Malaysian travellers with convenient access to Phu Quoc, Vietnam’s renowned Pearl Island, while supporting the island’s growing position as one of Southeast Asia’s leading leisure destinations.
With a flight time of approximately 1 hour and 35 minutes, the new service offers travellers a seamless journey to experience Phu Quoc’s pristine beaches, vibrant culinary scene and world-class attractions, alongside Sun Group’s integrated hospitality, entertainment and leisure offerings. The flight schedule has also been carefully designed to maximise travellers’ time on the island, allowing for longer and more enjoyable stays.
The inaugural flight on 1 September 2026 is scheduled to depart Phu Quoc International Airport at 1:45 pm, arriving at Kuala Lumpur International Airport at 4:20 pm. The return service will depart Kuala Lumpur at 5:20 pm and arrive in Phu Quoc at 5:55 pm. All timings are based on local time.

To celebrate the launch, Sun PhuQuoc Airways is offering one-way fares from MYR 370, together with a 20% discount on base fares across all fare classes for bookings made through the airline’s official website or mobile application, excluding peak travel periods. Fares include complimentary meals according to the selected fare class, a 23kg checked baggage allowance, while child fares remain available at 75% of the applicable adult fare.
