Saifufdin Holds Strategic Engagement Session on RMK13

The session was also attended by Datuk Seri Amir Hamzah Azizan, the Second Minister of Finance, who is currently responsible for the duties and functions of the Minister of Economy, making the discussion more comprehensive across two key ministries.

According to Saifuddin, this session is crucial because KDN plays a critical role in managing matters related to safety, public order, law enforcement, national borders, documentation, and immigration, all of which are closely tied to the pulse of the people.

“We want to ensure that all proposals, plans, and interventions under RMK13 truly address the core issues, namely the well-being of the people, the effectiveness of delivery systems, and the capability of institutions,” he said.

He emphasized that every policy proposed must be able to improve the quality of life of the people, supported by an efficient implementation system, and underpinned by authoritative and competitive institutions.

“Only with the combination of these three elements will RMK13 become a realistic and meaningful action plan for the country’s future,” he added.

This engagement session follows a recent Special Cabinet Meeting that discussed RMK13, where various aspects of national development were explored to ensure the plan reflects the needs and aspirations of Malaysians.
