SANDAKAN, May 5, 2026 — Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali today officiated the distribution of aid to fire victims at the Sandakan Community Hall (Dewan Masyarakat Sandakan), marking the final event of his official programmes in Sandakan, Sabah.
Before wrapping up his series of official engagements in the state, the minister took time to personally attend the aid handover session for residents affected by the recent fire incident.
According to the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN), “Before concluding the official programme series in Sandakan, Sabah, Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali took the time to visit the Sandakan Community Hall to complete the aid distribution session.”
Photographs from the event show the minister addressing officials on stage, directly interacting with seated victims — including several elderly women — and posing with ministry staff while orange KPDN aid bags containing essential goods were distributed on site.
The assistance forms part of the government’s ongoing relief efforts for families impacted by the fire, underscoring the ministry’s commitment to supporting affected communities and easing the cost of living burdens following disasters.
