KUALA LUMPUR, May 2, 2026 (Life News Agency) – Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR/KEADILAN) today officially unveiled TERAS, an artificial intelligence (AI)-based election management system designed to modernise the party’s election machinery and enhance operational efficiency ahead of future polls.
The launch ceremony was held at Dewan Komuniti Bandar Utama in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. It was attended by Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil, PKR Deputy President Nurul Izzah Anwar (who conceived the system), Selangor Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari, senior party leaders, and election workers from across the country.
In a post on X, Fahmi Fadzil described the AI-driven platform as “a step forward to strengthen the party’s machinery operations, while streamlining election management with a more structured and efficient approach.”
According to party statements, TERAS serves as a comprehensive data-driven tool that supports voter data management, fieldwork coordination, real-time campaign monitoring, targeted communications, and strategic decision-making. Nurul Izzah Anwar said the system was developed to ease the workload of party members who have long sacrificed behind the scenes, providing them with cutting-edge technology to make information flow faster, more organised, and more accurate.
Amirudin Shari, in his remarks, stressed that while technology like TERAS is important, it is not the party’s sole reliance. He called for continued focus on grassroots efforts such as house-to-house visits, group ceramahs, and social media engagement.
TERAS is positioned as a key component in PKR’s long-term election preparedness, aiming to deliver more integrated and effective campaign strategies.
The launch comes as Malaysia’s political parties gear up for potential state and national elections in the coming years, highlighting a growing trend of leveraging AI and digital tools in political operations.
