ISLAMABAD, April 24, 2026 – An Iranian delegation headed by Foreign Minister H.E. Abbas Araghchi arrived in Islamabad today for important high-level discussions with Pakistani leadership.
According to a press release issued by Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (PR No. 108/2026), the Iranian Foreign Minister was received upon arrival by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Asim Munir, along with other senior officials.

During the visit, Foreign Minister Araghchi will hold meetings with Pakistan’s senior leadership to discuss the latest regional developments as well as ongoing efforts for regional peace and stability.
The visit highlights the strong bilateral relations between Pakistan and Iran and both countries’ shared commitment to promoting peace, stability, and cooperation in the region.
This development comes amid heightened regional tensions, with both neighbouring nations playing key roles in diplomatic initiatives aimed at de-escalation and long-term stability.
