PUTRAJAYA April 21, 2026 – Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil today officiated the NADI Usahawan @ Shopee Campaign, a collaboration between the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) and Shopee.
The programme serves as an important platform for community entrepreneurs to strengthen networking, expand knowledge sharing, and unlock greater business growth opportunities in the digital economy.
“This initiative is in line with the MADANI Government’s aspiration for inclusive and comprehensive digital development,” said Fahmi in his speech at the launch ceremony held at Ballroom 1, The Everly Hotel Putrajaya.
He emphasised that NADI is not merely a platform providing internet access, but also serves as a space for learning, empowerment, and capacity building for the community. When combined with the strength of industry players like Shopee, the opportunities created become more practical and directly relevant to the real needs of the people.
The NADI Usahawan @ Shopee programme is scheduled to run from February to August 2026. To date, it has involved more than 100 entrepreneurs from various backgrounds. The initiative includes components such as e-commerce, affiliate marketing, and Shopee Collection Points as additional channels to help communities adapt their businesses to the online market and generate more sustainable income.
Since its introduction in 2024, the NADI programme has benefited over 10,000 participants nationwide through structured guidance and continuous support, thereby enhancing skills, strengthening competitiveness, and expanding business market potential.

Success Stories of NADI Entrepreneurs
Fahmi also shared real success stories of NADI community entrepreneurs to illustrate the impact of the programme.
Among them is Puan Nahdatul Izah Md Yasan from NADI Taman Seri Serkam, Melaka, founder of Nimy Collection Enterprise, which specialises in silver and titanium jewellery products. Starting with challenges in penetrating the market, she now records annual sales exceeding RM200,000, with more than 19,700 units of products sold and a 4.9-star rating on the Shopee platform. More impressively, she now serves as a mentor, guiding over 100 other entrepreneurs in digital marketing.
Similarly, Puan Suhaida Ahmed from NADI Kampung Pengkalan Baru, Ipoh, founder of Fiw Farm Agro. Previously facing marketing constraints, she now records annual sales exceeding RM100,000, with more than 34,000 units of products sold on Shopee and a 4.8-star rating. Through NADI’s guidance, she has not only mastered e-commerce but has also successfully penetrated retail networks such as Petronas Mesra.
“The success of initiatives like this should not be measured by the launch alone, but by the results that will be achieved by community entrepreneurs,” stressed Fahmi.
He urged NADI entrepreneurs to set higher targets, explore innovation in products and services, and strengthen the operational productivity of their respective businesses.
The programme also offers capacity-building training covering sales fundamentals, marketing, the use of technology including appropriate artificial intelligence (AI) tools, Shopee Live demonstrations, webinar series through Shopee University, and roadshows at selected NADI centres.
Community entrepreneurs interested in joining or obtaining more information about NADI Usahawan @ Shopee or other programmes under Perkhidmatan Pintar NADI are encouraged to contact the nearest NADI Centre or official MCMC communication channels.
