KELANTAN April 19, 2026 – Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim has urged leaders and members of Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) in Kelantan to reinforce party unity, integrity and grassroots engagement as Malaysia navigates rising living costs and global economic uncertainties.
In a statement posted on X (formerly Twitter) yesterday, Anwar described his meeting with PKR Kelantan leaders and members — held as part of the Mini Konvensyen KEADILAN Kelantan 2026 — as a crucial platform to review the party’s reform journey. He stressed that PKR’s struggle remains firmly rooted in the spirit of reformasi, with an unwavering commitment to defending the welfare of ordinary Malaysians, particularly the poor and marginalised.
“Amid the increasingly challenging global energy crisis, the people continue to hope that their fate and well-being will be protected,” Anwar wrote. He reminded party members of the need for solidarity so that cohesion can be strengthened “to elevate the dignity of the people.”
Anwar warned against allowing the party’s long struggle — built on sacrifice and idealism — to go to waste. “The trust of the people is not something that can be taken lightly, especially when they are increasingly squeezed by the challenges of the cost of living and economic uncertainty,” he said.
He called on every leader and member to continuously strengthen integrity, streamline operations and approach the rakyat with complete sincerity. “Only with genuine commitment and effective action can we ensure that this struggle continues to be trusted and is never rejected by the people,” Anwar added.
The event featured Anwar addressing a packed hall of PKR supporters, interacting closely with grassroots members, presenting tokens on stage with state leaders, and posing with female party members. Many attendees wore the party’s signature white-and-blue attire, with numerous flags and banners visible in the background.
The post was accompanied by the hashtags #MalaysiaMADANI, #MADANIbekerja and #YakinMADANI — core slogans of the current administration’s governance philosophy.
Political observers view the Kelantan engagement as part of PKR’s ongoing efforts to expand its influence in traditionally opposition-leaning states ahead of future electoral cycles.
