MOSCOW, June 27, 2025 – Deputy Prime Minister Dato’ Sri Fadillah Yusof led a Malaysian delegation in performing the Subuh prayer at the Minskaya Memorial Mosque in Moscow this morning, an experience he described as deeply meaningful within the city’s religious and historical landscape.
Located near Kutuzovsky Prospekt, the mosque was built to honor the martyrs of World War II and stands today as a symbol of resilient faith and unity among Moscow’s Muslim community in the heart of Russia’s metropolitan capital.
Following the prayer, Fadillah and the delegation engaged warmly with local worshippers, who welcomed them with open hearts and hospitality.
“This reflects the beauty of Islamic values that transcend culture and borders,” Fadillah said, highlighting the universal spirit of brotherhood.
In a statement, he shared that moments of communal prayer in a foreign land and the bonds formed despite differences in background and language underscored Islam’s role as a unifying force. “These encounters remind us that Islam is a mercy to all worlds,” he added.
Fadillah expressed hope that such interactions would strengthen ties of friendship and bring blessings, serving as a testament to Islam’s universal message of compassion and unity.
