PUTRAJAYA, Malaysia, June 26, 2025 – Ahead of today’s National Cybersecurity Committee (JKSN) meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail convened a pre-council session with senior Ministry of Home Affairs officials at midday.

The session was crucial for aligning the ministry’s stance and finalizing inputs to ensure proposals, concerns, and needs presented at the JKSN reflect Malaysia’s readiness to counter increasingly complex and dynamic cyber threats.
“Cyber threats today extend far beyond ordinary digital crimes like online fraud,” said Saifuddin. “They carry the potential to destabilize the nation if not addressed with seriousness and strategic planning.”
The Home Minister expressed hope that the JKSN meeting, set to commence shortly, will chart a progressive, integrated, and resolute national direction to safeguard Malaysia in an increasingly intricate digital landscape.
