TAMPA, FLORIDA March 3, 2026 – U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) has released a video update from its commander, Admiral Brad Cooper, providing the latest operational assessment of Operation Epic Fury, the major U.S.-led military campaign against Iranian regime targets now in its fourth day.
In the video posted on X (formerly Twitter) by the official @CENTCOM account, Admiral Cooper addressed the ongoing operation, describing it as an unprecedented concentration of U.S. military power in the Middle East. “I’m here to provide you an update on Operation Epic Fury, now in our fourth day of execution,” Cooper stated. He emphasized that the mission “has only just begun” and highlighted the scale of strikes carried out so far.
Operation Epic Fury was launched on February 28, 2026, at the direction of President Donald Trump. The operation aims to dismantle Iran’s security apparatus by targeting Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) command and control facilities, integrated air defense systems, ballistic missile and drone launch sites, military airfields, naval vessels, and other assets posing imminent threats to the region and U.S. interests.
CENTCOM reports that U.S. and partner forces have struck more than 1,700 targets in the first 72 hours, employing a wide array of assets including B-1, B-2 and B-52 bombers, F-35 and F-22 stealth fighters, aircraft carriers, guided-missile destroyers, and advanced missile systems. Over 2,000 munitions have been delivered in under 100 hours of continuous operations.
Admiral Cooper expressed deepest condolences to the families of U.S. service members killed in action. As of March 2, at least six American troops had been confirmed killed, with additional recoveries of remains reported from sites struck during Iran’s initial attacks. Identities of the fallen are being withheld pending next-of-kin notification.
The commander praised the professionalism of U.S. forces and reaffirmed that major combat operations continue around the clock. “The President ordered bold action, and our brave Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines, Guardians, and Coast Guardsmen are answering the call,” he said in related statements.
The video update has drawn widespread attention online, amassing over 1.5 million views within hours of posting, along with thousands of likes, reposts and comments reflecting strong public interest in the campaign.
