PETALING JAYA, MALAYSIA February 28, 2026 — Parti Keadilan Rakyat (KEADILAN) has issued a firm condemnation of the joint United States and Israeli military aggression against Iran, describing the attacks as a blatant violation of international law and a dangerous threat to regional and global stability.
In an official press statement released today, the party’s International Affairs Bureau Chairman, Dr Maszlee Malik, said KEADILAN “unequivocally condemns the military aggression by the United States and Israel against the sovereign territory of the Islamic Republic of Iran.”
“This unprovoked act of war flagrantly violates international law and the UN Charter, specifically Article 2(4), which prohibits the use of force against the territorial integrity of any state,” the statement read.
The statement was posted on X by Dr Maszlee Malik, accompanied by the full official press release document.
KEADILAN stressed that the escalation comes at a time when West Asia is already volatile, warning that further military action would only worsen instability.
“The world needs peace, not more wars. We vehemently reject foreign military intervention and the subjugation of a nation’s right to self-determination,” it added.
The party expressed full solidarity with the Iranian people, affirming that only they have the right to determine their own destiny without external coercion.
Key demands issued by KEADILAN:
1. Immediate cessation of all hostile military actions against Iran.
2. Full respect for Iran’s sovereignty and territorial integrity in accordance with the UN Charter.
3. Decisive action by the UN Security Council to halt this aggression and uphold international peace.
The statement concluded with a direct appeal: “We call upon the United States and Israel to cease hostilities and choose the path of diplomacy and peaceful coexistence.”
The condemnation comes as news outlets worldwide report that US and Israeli forces launched coordinated strikes on multiple targets in Iran earlier today, including sites in Tehran, with explosions reported across the country. Iran has vowed a strong retaliation.
KEADILAN’s position aligns with broader calls from Malaysian leaders and opposition parties for de-escalation and respect for international law amid the rapidly unfolding crisis.
