PENAMPANG, SABAH, MALAYSIA February 8, 2026 – Sabah Deputy Chief Minister III cum Minister of Industrial Development, Entrepreneurship and Transport, Datuk Ewon Benedick, officiated the Bazaar Plaza 333 Spring Festive 2026 on 7 February in celebration of the upcoming Chinese New Year.
The ceremony was enlivened by captivating dragon and lion dance performances, drawing visitors from various ethnic groups and creating a vibrant festive atmosphere at Plaza 333.
Ewon said the organisation of the bazaar reflects Plaza 333 management’s commitment to providing a platform for local entrepreneurs to market their products and generate income, particularly during the festive season.
“A total of 40 stalls have been set up, and the bazaar will continue until tonight. Initiatives like this are excellent as they provide space and opportunities for small and medium entrepreneurs to trade in a conducive environment,” he said.
He added that such programmes not only enliven the Chinese New Year celebrations but also contribute to strengthening local economic activities.
During the event, Ewon also took time to interact with some of the participating entrepreneurs and purchased products from them as a gesture of support.
