MALAYDIA, KUALA LUMPUR, June 21, 2025 – Datuk Seri Mohd. Khalid Ismail has been appointed as Malaysia’s 15th Inspector-General of Police, succeeding Tan Sri Razarudin Husain.
Deputy Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi congratulated Mohd. Khalid, expressing confidence in his ability to lead the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) with a progressive and comprehensive approach to safeguarding national security and public order.
Mohd. Khalid brings extensive experience, having served as Director of the Special Branch at Bukit Aman and held various strategic roles since 2018.
Ahmad Zahid also extended gratitude to Tan Sri Razarudin for his dedicated service and contributions during his tenure as Inspector-General, noting that his legacy will be remembered.
Under Mohd. Khalid’s leadership, Ahmad Zahid expressed optimism that PDRM will continue to be a trusted and respected institution, both domestically and internationally.
