MALAYSIA, KUALA LUMPUR, June 20 – The Handover Ceremony and Rank Insignia Presentation for the new Inspector-General of Police was held this evening at Dewan Tan Sri Abdul Rahman bin Hashim, PULAPOL, marking the transition of the highest leadership in the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM).

The role of the 15th Inspector-General of Police has been assumed by Dato’ Sri Haji Mohd Khalid bin Haji Ismail, taking over from Tan Sri Razarudin bin Husain.
The ceremony also witnessed the handover of duties as Chairperson of PERKEP Malaysia from Puan Sri Datuk Zainah binti Othman to Datin Sri Hajah Munirah binti Che Rose.
Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail, in his speech, emphasized that while leadership may change, the responsibility of PDRM to maintain peace, uphold the law, and protect the people remains unwavering. He expressed his highest appreciation to Tan Sri Razarudin for his outstanding contributions throughout his service.
“To Dato’ Sri Haji Mohd Khalid, congratulations on undertaking this new responsibility. May you remain steadfast in leading PDRM for the safety and prosperity of the nation,” said Saifuddin.
The ceremony was attended by the Home Minister’s wife and senior PDRM officers.
