KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA February 1, 2026 – Digital Minister Gobind Singh Deo extended Federal Territories Day greetings to the residents of Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, and Labuan in conjunction with today’s celebration.
In a post on the X platform (formerly Twitter), he wrote:
“Happy Federal Territories Day to the citizens of Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, and Labuan.
In line with the theme ‘Our Federal Territories’, let us join hands and together further prosper our territories in step with the progress of the digital era, for advancement that benefits its people and fosters an atmosphere of safety, harmony, and inclusivity for all.
The post included a short 5-second video featuring animations of iconic Federal Territories landmarks such as the Petronas Twin Towers and buildings in Putrajaya, ending with a vibrant fireworks display, along with the Ministry of Digital and Malaysia MADANI logos.
Kuala Lumpur landmarks like the Petronas Towers are often seen as symbols of the city’s progress.
Putrajaya is renowned for its modern architecture and beautiful mosques as the nation’s administrative centre.
Meanwhile, Labuan, the federal territory off Sabah, is well-known as an offshore financial centre and for its island beauty.
The Digital Minister’s message highlights the importance of digital development in prospering the Federal Territories, in keeping with the Malaysia MADANI vision for a harmonious and inclusive society.
