PUTRAJAYA, MALAYSIA January 30, 2026 — The Ministry of Education (MOE) has announced a major recruitment drive to hire 20,000 new Education Service Officers (Grade DG9) on a Contract of Service (CoS) basis to address teacher requirements across schools nationwide.
The initiative, announced by Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek, forms part of early preparations for the implementation of the Malaysian Education Plan (RPM) 2026–2035 and the voluntary enrolment of six-year-old children into Year One, starting next year.
Selected candidates will undergo professional training at the Ministry’s Teacher Education Institutes (IPG) in various specialisation fields to ensure teaching competency and quality are maintained.
This move reflects the ongoing commitment of the MADANI Government to enhance the quality of national education for the benefit of Malaysian children.
