MALAYSIA. PUTRAJAYA, June 19, 2025 – Deputy Inspector-General of Police, DIG Tan Sri Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay, attended an Official Dinner held in conjunction with the working visit of Russia’s Minister of Civil Defence, Emergencies, and Disaster Relief (EMERCOM), His Excellency Colonel General Alexander V. Kurenkov, at DoubleTree by Hilton Putrajaya Lakeside last night.
The event was officiated by Deputy Prime Minister cum Minister of Rural and Regional Development, Dato’ Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.
Also present were representatives from government departments and agencies, as well as the Russian delegation, who were entertained with performances by the Russian Orchestra Ensemble and Malaysian cultural arts.
Colonel General Kurenkov’s two-day visit to Malaysia, from June 18 to 20, aims to observe joint exercises between Malaysia’s Special Search and Rescue Team and the EMERCOM RUS-03 Team, in preparation for the INSARAG External Reclassification in 2026.
