PUTRAJAYA, MALAYSIA January 22, 2026 – In a groundbreaking achievement for Malaysia, Puan Viviantie Sarjuni, Chief Executive Officer of the National Entrepreneurship Institute (INSKEN), has been awarded the 2026 Public Social Innovator Award for Social Entrepreneurship by the Schwab Foundation, in partnership with the World Economic Forum (WEF). This marks the first time a Malaysian has received this international recognition, elevating the nation’s profile on the global stage.
The award was presented to Puan Viviantie in Switzerland on January 21, 2026, during the WEF Annual Meeting in Davos. The honor celebrates her outstanding contributions to fostering social entrepreneurship and inclusive economic growth.
During her time in Davos, Puan Viviantie engaged in various international workshops and networking sessions, connecting with global leaders and social innovators. She plans to apply the insights, experiences, and best practices gained to strengthen Malaysia’s entrepreneurship agenda, particularly through programs under the Ministry of Entrepreneur and Cooperatives Development (KUSKOP) and INSKEN’s strategic initiatives.
Minister of Entrepreneur and Cooperatives Development, Steven Sim Chee Keong, extended his heartfelt congratulations in an official statement, highlighting Puan Viviantie’s leadership, dedication, and commitment to empowering entrepreneurship, social enterprises, and sustainable economic development. “This achievement reflects her high level of commitment in strengthening the national entrepreneurship ecosystem, especially for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs),” the minister said. “Congratulations on this proud success that inspires us all.”
