KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA January 16, 2026 – The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) today issued an official statement affirming the institution’s full commitment to taking all necessary actions in a professional, transparent and integrity-driven manner regarding procurement matters, in response to the recent statement by the Prime Minister.
In the media statement released at 9:00 PM tonight, Inspector-General of Police IG Dato’ Sri Hj. Mohd Khalid Bin Hj. Ismail stated that PDRM fully takes note of the statement by the Right Honourable Prime Minister on the matter.
“PDRM will implement all necessary actions in a professional, transparent and integrity-driven manner, in line with the laws, policies and directives set by the government,” he said.
PDRM also stressed that every process carried out will comply with the principles of good governance in order to safeguard public interests and maintain public confidence in the national security institution.
The statement is regarded as PDRM’s direct response to the procurement issue raised by the Prime Minister, demonstrating the police force’s seriousness in addressing the matter with full responsibility and accountability.
