KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA, Oct 1, 2025 – Senator Datuk Seri Amir Hamzah Azizan, Finance Minister II, conducted a firsthand inspection of the BUDI MADANI RON95 (BUDI95) targeted subsidy initiative at the Petronas Sri Hartamas station last night. Accompanying him was Datuk Johan Mahmood Merican, Treasury Secretary-General.
As of 6 PM yesterday, nearly 3 million users have benefited from the program, with sales reaching almost RM91 million within just four days of its implementation.
During the visit, Senator Amir Hamzah engaged with consumers and station operators to gather direct feedback on the program’s rollout. He emphasized the Finance Ministry’s commitment to ongoing monitoring to ensure smooth and accessible benefits for the public.
The BUDI95 initiative, launched in phases since September 27, 2025, now enables 16 million Malaysians with active MyKad and driver’s licenses to enjoy subsidized RON95 petrol at RM1.99 per liter, with a monthly quota of up to 300 liters per individual.
