The meeting agreed to implement high-tech Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) systems at detention centers of the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (APMM) and lockups of the National Anti-Drug Agency (AADK) nationwide. This initiative aligns with the National Anti-Corruption Strategy (NACS) to strengthen monitoring and address security challenges in detention areas.

The Government also expressed serious concern over recurring incidents of foreign fishing vessels encroaching into national waters, which not only violate Malaysia’s maritime sovereignty but also cause economic losses and affect the livelihoods of local fishermen. In response, the meeting agreed to address these issues through strategic cooperation with relevant countries, reaffirming the Government’s firm stance on safeguarding national waters.

Furthermore, the policy and legal reforms approved today reflect the Government’s commitment to ensuring a responsive, efficient, transparent, and effective public service, in line with national security needs.
