Kuala Lumpur, 04 February 2026 – XOX today announced the launch of its ETS RM38 postpaid plan, offering subscribers one free Electric Train Service (ETS) ride each month, valued at up to RM38. The initiative supports national efforts to promote domestic tourism and encourage greater use of public transport as rail travel becomes an increasingly routine part of intercity movement in Malaysia.
As ETS services continue to expand across major intercity routes, including the Kuala Lumpur–Johor Bahru corridor, rail travel has become part of everyday movement for many Malaysians. Last year alone, ETS recorded more than four million passenger trips, reflecting growing nationwide adoption of public transport.
Under the plan, customers pay RM38 per month and may redeem one ETS ticket monthly, effectively converting a regular mobile subscription into a recurring intercity travel benefit. Unlike conventional telco promotions that rely on one-off sign-up incentives, the ETS ride is a monthly entitlement. Redemptions are subject to availability and applicable terms and conditions, do not carry forward if unused, and tickets priced above RM38 may be redeemed with a top-up.
Commenting on the launch, Datuk Kenneth Vun, Managing Director of XOX, said: “This plan reflects a shift in how we define value. Instead of asking customers to spend and wait for rewards, we are offering something practical and immediate every month. As rail travel becomes part of how Malaysians move between cities, mobile services should evolve to support real-life movement, not just digital consumption.”
The ETS RM38 postpaid plan is available via onlinestore.xox.com.my and nationwide physical touchpoints. XOX will also roll out roadshows at major ETS stations nationwide to engage commuters and frequent intercity travellers directly.
