BAGAN DATUK, 14 June 2025 – UMNO President Dato’ Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi reaffirmed the party’s unwavering commitment to its grassroots during the 2025 UMNO Bagan Datuk Division Delegates Meeting, themed “Kukuh di Akar, Teguh di Puncak” (Strong at the Roots, Steadfast at the Pinnacle).

Speaking as a native of Bagan Datuk, Ahmad Zahid described the constituency as the heartbeat of his political journey.
“Every step I take in politics and leadership is rooted in the voices and pulse of this community,” he said, officiating the event alongside UMNO Bagan Datuk members.
He attributed UMNO’s resilience to its deep connection with the people and the steadfast dedication of its members.
“UMNO stands tall because it understands the people’s aspirations. Its strength stems from members who tirelessly uphold the party’s legacy with integrity and resolve,” he added.
Highlighting the role of youth, Ahmad Zahid called them the guardians of UMNO’s future, urging them to nurture the party’s roots with sincerity to ensure it remains a “shading tree” for the nation. He praised the loyalty of Bagan Datuk’s members, noting their resilience through challenges like loss of power, slander, and humiliation.
“Our greatest strength is standing firm in storms without compromising principles or dignity,” he said.
Expressing gratitude to UMNO Bagan Datuk’s loyal members, Ahmad Zahid hailed them as true fighters who uphold the party’s banner unwaveringly. He urged continued service to the people, vowing that UMNO Bagan Datuk will remain steadfast in its mission.
