BANGI, MALAYSIA Sept 30, 2025 – Deputy Inspector-General of Police, DIG Tan Sri Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay, took center stage as a guest panelist at the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) Distinguished Alumni Forum: Knowledge, Quality, and Character, held last night at Dewan Canselor Tun Abdul Razak, UKM, in conjunction with the 2025/2026 National Appreciation Week (MAW).

The forum also featured Dr. Jezamine Lim, Co-Founder and CEO of Cell Biopeutics Resources Sdn. Bhd., and Arvend Applasamy, Youth Activist and Chairman of the Global Youth Parliament ASEAN & Malaysia Chapter. The session was moderated by Hj. Nazri Kahar, Senior Editor and Executive Producer of Astro AWANI.
In a nearly two-hour discussion, Tan Sri Ayob Khan reflected on his time at UKM, sharing how his university experience shaped his character and leadership qualities, paving the way for his rise to one of the top positions in the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM).
He emphasized that university life is not just about acquiring knowledge but also about building character, discipline, and resilience. Tan Sri Ayob Khan urged students to cherish their campus experiences while preparing for the challenges of the working world, which demands mental fortitude, dedication, and integrity.
The event was attended by UKM’s Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Student Affairs and Alumni, Professor Ts. Dr. Norinsan Kamil Othman, Kajang District Police Chief ACP Naazron Abdul Yusof, PDRM Corporate Communications Superintendent William Nobes, and senior police officials.
