KUALA LUMPUR. MALAYSIA, Oct 9, 2025– The Turkish government has once again assured its ongoing assistance in efforts to secure the release of nine Malaysian activists and volunteers who are being illegally detained by the Zionist Israeli regime, Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim said.

In a statement on X today, Anwar underscored the nation’s full support for the victims’ families, who are waiting in prayer and tears. “Rest assured, the country stands with you,” he said, adding that these brave Malaysian youths are not merely pure-hearted volunteers, but humanitarian heroes carrying the nation’s name into the vast sea of struggle.

Anwar also vowed that the government will not stand idly by and will continue fighting for justice and their freedom. He prayed that Allah SWT grants these activists the strength to weather the challenges and smoothens every step in the process of their release.

The statement comes amid Malaysia’s sustained diplomatic efforts to address the detention issue, which involves activists engaged in humanitarian missions in the region.
