PUTRAJAYA, MALAYSIA January 22, 2026 – The MADANI Rahmah Sales Programme (PJRM) held today at Anjung Seri, Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) Putrajaya received an overwhelming response from civil servants and local residents alike.
Minister of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living, Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali, who inspected the programme’s implementation, stated that today’s turnout was highly encouraging — not limited to civil servants but also involving the surrounding community in Putrajaya.
The monthly PJRM, timed to coincide with payday, carried added significance today as it aligned with the rollout of Phase 2 of the civil service salary adjustment.
In line with the MADANI Government’s commitment to tackling the cost-of-living challenges faced by the people, PJRM has been comprehensively expanded nationwide starting 9 January 2026, covering all 222 parliamentary constituencies, 600 state legislative assembly (DUN) areas, and 40 zones in the Federal Territories.
With the activation of Phase 2 today, civil servants now fully enjoy the promised overall salary increase of 15 percent. Phase 1, which provided an 8 percent rise, took effect from 1 December 2024, while the remaining 7 percent is reflected in the January 2026 payroll.
Datuk Armizan emphasised that this reflects the true essence of the MADANI Government’s agenda in addressing cost-of-living concerns. The approach is two-pronged: maintaining price stability for goods and services while sustainably boosting the people’s income.
To this end, the MADANI Government is rolling out multiple policies and initiatives to foster an ecosystem that drives income growth, including new job opportunities, minimum wage increases, progressive wage policies, entrepreneurship empowerment, targeted cash assistance, and various other measures centred on the people’s well-being and prosperity.
