KOTA KINABALU, SABAH, MALAYSIA Dec 15, 2025 – The Sabah State Government will organise the Sabah State-Level Christmas Celebration from 16 to 19 December 2025 at Padang Merdeka, Kota Kinabalu.
The Chairman of the Main Committee, Datuk Ewon Benedick, who is also the Deputy Chief Minister of Sabah cum Minister of Industrial Development, Entrepreneurship and Transport, stated that this is the first time the Christmas celebration, previously organised by the Kota Kinabalu City Hall (DBKK) in collaboration with the Sabah Council of Churches (SCC), has been elevated to a state-level event.

This organisation reflects the openness and commitment of the Sabah State Government under the leadership of Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Hajiji Haji Noor in supporting religious festival celebrations.
The celebration will be officiated by the Sabah Head of State, Tun Datuk Seri Panglima Musa Haji Aman, on 16 December 2025, while the closing ceremony will be officiated by the Chief Minister, Datuk Seri Panglima Hajiji Haji Noor, on 19 December 2025.
This year’s theme is “Hope For Peace In Love”, which emphasises the values of unity, harmony, togetherness, and mutual respect among the multi-ethnic and multi-religious people of Sabah, in line with the Sabah First vision.
In addition to various stage performances, a People’s Feast will also be held involving 100 entrepreneurs from local hawkers who will supply various dishes, as government support for micro and small enterprises.
Ewon invited all Sabahans to attend and give meaning to this celebration.
