KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA April 2, 2026 – Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim today hosted a special celebration at the Prime Minister’s Office for 40 high-achieving Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) students from schools across Malaysia, in collaboration with the leadership of Persatuan Kebangsaan Pelajar Islam Malaysia (PKPIM).
In a heartfelt address shared on his official X account, the Prime Minister congratulated the students on their recent SPM results, praising their hard work and dedication. “Alhamdulillah, today I had the opportunity to celebrate with 40 students who have just received their SPM results from various schools nationwide, together with PKPIM leaders,” he wrote.
Anwar emphasised that success extends beyond academic grades. “Whatever results you receive, the effort and long journey these children have undertaken require patience and serious determination in every field they will pursue in the future,” he said. He stressed the importance of moral values and strong character (*akhlak*) alongside academic excellence in building a brighter future.
The Prime Minister also engaged the students in a candid discussion on current global issues, particularly geopolitical tensions and economic challenges facing the world today. He reminded the young achievers to always heed the good advice of their parents while staying informed about current affairs in an increasingly complex world.
“ The government will make every possible effort to provide opportunities for all our children to secure a better future for Malaysia,” Anwar assured, adding his prayers for the SPM leavers to be granted strength, resilience, and strong willpower to excel beyond today’s achievements.
Official photographs from the event show the Prime Minister, dressed in vibrant batik attire, warmly interacting with the students. In the images, he is seen gesturing animatedly while addressing the attentive group, signing a commemorative booklet for one smiling student, and engaging closely with both male and female participants, many wearing traditional attire and lanyards.
The gathering reflects the MADANI government’s commitment to nurturing the nation’s youth under the Malaysia MADANI framework. Hashtags accompanying the post — #MalaysiaMADANI, #MADANIbekerja, and #YakinMADANI — underscore the administration’s vision for a principled, hardworking, and confident new generation.
This initiative highlights the Prime Minister’s personal engagement with young Malaysians at a pivotal moment in their educational journey, reinforcing that academic success is just the beginning of a lifelong commitment to values, awareness, and national contribution.
