KEDAH, MALAYSIA February 13, 2026 – Malaysia’s Prime Minister and KEADILAN President Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim made a brief stop in Alor Setar yesterday to join members of Parti Keadilan Rakyat (KEADILAN) at the Kedah State Convention.
In a post shared on his official X account, Anwar expressed gratitude for the opportunity to meet the “keluarga besar KEADILAN” (big KEADILAN family) and emphasized the need for the party in Kedah to continue maturing as a disciplined organization firmly committed to its long-standing reformasi (reform) struggle.
“KEADILAN Kedah must continue to move forward as a mature, disciplined party that remains steadfast in upholding the trust of the reform struggle we have carried since the beginning,” Anwar wrote.
He highlighted the current priority of strengthening the party machinery across the state by blending the strength and experience of veteran leaders with the wisdom of senior figures and the freshness and idealism of the new generation.
Anwar placed full confidence in KEADILAN Kedah State Chairman Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail to lead efforts in empowering the party organization. He called on all entrusted leaders to give full commitment, move in unison, and support Saifuddin to ensure KEADILAN Kedah remains strong, well-organized, and competitive.
“A strong, confident, and well-functioning party organization at the grassroots level is the foundation of public trust,” he stressed. Anwar urged every member and leader to enhance readiness, build internal confidence, and drive the party forward with true camaraderie and unwavering loyalty to PKR.
He also noted Kedah’s significant historical role in KEADILAN’s journey, calling for planned efforts through team unity, branch strengthening, and a fact-based political approach centered on defending the people’s welfare.
“These efforts are vital to restoring public confidence in KEADILAN to lead this state with fair and integrity-driven leadership,” Anwar added.
The message closed with the hashtags #MalaysiaMADANI and #KitaKEADILAN, reflecting the ongoing theme of the Madani Malaysia initiative and party solidarity.
The convention appearance comes amid PKR’s continued efforts to consolidate support and grassroots machinery in northern states ahead of future electoral challenges.
